Congratulations on your admission to Paul Quinn!
To begin the road to academic success, please read the following checklist below.

PQC E-mails
You will be issued a PQC e-mail account where all offiical notices will be sent. We also recommend adding the following email addresses as safe senders to ensure you receive all communication:

Talk to an Enrollment Management Officer
Making a college decision is a big step toward your goals. We encourage you to call the Office of Enrollment Management and ask to speak to an Admissions Counselor to discuss your questions about the campus, tours, and next steps!

Submit a Financial Aid Application
- If you haven't already, submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)or the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA).
- If you do not complete a financial aid application, you will not be eligible for financial aid. This will result in a balance in your billing account that you can pay with with student loans and/or a payment plan.

confirm your enrollment
To confirm your enrollment, complete the Enrollment Agreement Form attached to your acceptance letter and submit your registration deposit. The registration deposit holds your place in the entering class.
Registration Fee (Deposit): The $200 non-refundable Registration Fee supports general operations of the registration process and holds your place in the welcoming class. However, you can begin a payment plan of your deposit starting at $25. The remaining $175 is charged to your billing account and can be paid when the Fall terms begins.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Paul Quinn students are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). You'll need to complete a FERPA Release Form if you would like to give a third party (including parents) access to your school information and records. This form is not required but we cannot release certain information without one on file.
- Download your FERPA Release Form and email it to the Office of the Registrar. Without a FERPA Release Form, Paul Quinn will not release information regarding your education records.
- Submit FERPA form to registrar@pqc.edu
Student Portals
You will receive access to student portals in preparation for the Summer Bridge program.
- CAMS Student Portal: Registration, Billing and Financial Aid
- CANVAS: Course information and assignments. Please note that your advisor will sign you up for summer bridge courses.
Submit Financial Aid Verification Documents (if applicable)
If you are selected for financial aid verification, you will have to submit additional documentation to the Financial Aid Office to verify the FAFSA information you reported. In order to receive your financial aid in a timely manner, please ensure that verification documents are submitted before the start of the Fall semester. Financial Aid Verification communication will be sent from: Finaid@pqc.edu
Submit Medical Records
All new students under 23 that are enrolling at a college or university in Texas are required to show proof of receiving a meningitis vaccination or a booster dose during the five-year period prior to enrolling.
The following populations may be exempt:
- Online students.
- Students with medical reasons (signed affidavit required from a physician that states vaccination would be injurious to the health and well-being of the students).
- Religious reasons (signed affidavit required).

Review Health Insurance and TigerCare Benefits
Paul Quinn offers students an affordable student health benefit plan issued and administered by Pivot Health (Comprehensive) and Beazley Benefits (TigerCare). All students enrolled are automatically enrolled in the Comprehensive Health Plan AND the TigerCare Health Services Plan for the Academic Year.

Comprehensive Health Insurance Waiver
- Anyone wishing to OPT OUT of the Comprehensive Insurance Plan MUST complete and submit an accepted waiver by providing proof of insurance by the Census date of the term. With an approved waiver, you will only be billed for the MANDATORY TigerCare Health Services Plan.
- Without an approved waiver, you will be billed for the MANDATORY TigerCare Health Services Plan AND the Comprehensive Health Plan.
Once you are on the website, please perform the following steps on http://pqc.enrollanywhere.com
- Under “Waivers,” click “Waive Here”
- Under “Please Sign in,” enter your PQC email address (example: jdoe123@pqc.edu)
- On the next line enter your student id # for the password (example: A0000123456)
- Click the “Submit” button
- Follow the on-screen instructions from there. You will need to enter your current primary insurance coverage details.

Prepare for Summer Bridge
Summer Bridge is a seven-week long summer program designated to prepare students for the rigors of college and life in the Quinnite Nation. During the summer, you will also connect with your Academic Advisor and plan your Fall 2022 schedule.
Every new student is expected to attend and will be automatically registered for three courses (nine credit hours):
- Quinnite Student Leadership
- Introduction to Christian Ethics
- Career Management
Summer Bridge 2022 start dates will be shared with you upon completion of your Enrollment Agreement Form.
Review/Pay your Tuition and Fees
Review your CAMS Student Portal and assess if you will have a remaining balance for each term enrolled after your financial aid is posted. Contact the Financial Aid Office to accept your student loans or set up a payment plan on your billing account.
If you do not see any aid listed, it is likely that you have missing documents. Review your e-mails and contact the Office of Financial Aid for assistance.
Payment Options: Payment Plans
To make the process of paying for your education more manageable, Paul Quinn College offers an Installment Payment program in which students can split their tuition and fees into four installments.

Payment Options: Student Loans
In addition to grants and scholarships, payment plans and/or federal loans may be an option for you.
If you would like to accept student loans, you must complete the following requirements:
- Complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) Federal Student Aid Website. Make sure you complete the one labeld for Undegraduate Students.
- Complete an Entrance Counselingon the Federal Student Aid Website
Once this information is received by the Financial Aid Office, you will determine how much you would like to borrow in student loans. The Financial Aid Office will send you a request to have a one-on-one meeting to discuss your individual plan.
Prepare for Move-In
Move in-dates will be assigned on a rolling basis based on when you are cleared following COVID-19 protocols. For questions regarding Housing, contact: agarcia@pqc.edu.
The Director of Housing will assign your room, suitemates, and go over the meal plan/housing regulations before move in day.
All students planning to live in Paul Quinn housing are required to participate in a mental health and wellness workshop to be approved for housing. The workshop covers the campus resources available to the students, basic mental health skills to support their scholastic journey at Paul Quinn, and an opportunity to meet staff in the mental health and wellness department. Information about the workshop will be disclosed during Summer Bridge.
